Access to Takada Matsubara Sports Park

By Train and Bus

From Tokyo, take the Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Ichinoseki Station. This journey takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. At Ichinoseki, transfer to the JR Ofunato Line and travel to Kesennuma Station, which takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes. From Kesennuma Station, take a bus bound for Rikuzentakata and get off at Takata Matsubara Iriguchi bus stop. The park is a short walk from there.

By Car

If you prefer to drive, you can rent a car from Tokyo and take the Tohoku Expressway towards Iwate Prefecture. The drive from Tokyo to Rikuzentakata City will take approximately 6 hours. Once you reach Rikuzentakata, follow the signs to Takada Matsubara Sports Park.

By Air and Bus

You can also fly from Haneda Airport in Tokyo to Iwate Hanamaki Airport. The flight takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. From Iwate Hanamaki Airport, take a bus to Morioka Station, then transfer to a bus bound for Rikuzentakata. Get off at the Takata Matsubara Iriguchi bus stop.
